Bernadette is an Interior Designer based in Geelong, who closed her office in 2010 to have her first child. While Bernadette loves being at home (and working part time) with now two young children, there is still a burning desire to be creative and make beautiful and stylish things. The love of buttons, colour, goats and a song; saw the birth of Hilary’s house in 2014. With lots of glue and sourcing of beautiful buttons, vintage, recycled and new stock, lots of trials and sticky fingers, these unique one off pieces make up the range of Hilary’s House BUTTON ART for the young and the young at heart.

Being a mother of two very busy boys, often the only way l can get anything done is to involve them in what l am creating.

This can often be a messy timely exercise, but a lot of fun!

Our four year old Hayden loves buttons, colour and craft.

Earlier this year wanted his drawing turned into Button Art. So after enlarging his drawing a little, he set to work and placed his own selection of buttons on his drawing, Childs play, it is truly amazing what these young minds can create.
